"ANBALABA", A NEW VILLAGE TUCKED AWAY BETWEEN THE OCEAN AND MOUNTAINS

Anbalaba, a new real estate development in the south of the island, is set apart by its efforts to integrate into its social and natural surroundings. This project is being developed by Gilles, Hippolyte and Cécilia Bouigue, members of a French family who have lived in Mauritius for the past decade.

Located on a hill overlooking the Baie-du-Cap lagoon in Mauritius’ south-west, not far from the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Morne, Anbalaba offers large villas, houses, apartments and building plots for sale off-plan. The project is set over fifteen hectares adjacent to the existing village of Baie-du-Cap.

This Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) development, which is accessible to foreign buyers, also includes an integrated village built around a national heritage-listed building. The 100-year old former police station has been transformed into a “House of Dialogue” and represents the social links between the area’s new and historical inhabitants. Anbalaba’s promoters believe that this community atmosphere will help property owners discover the classic Mauritian lifestyle.
